Day 2: Vlad and his people

Hi everyone!

Yesterday I had some free time and finished Vlad and another Cossack.

Vlad, a Bride, Igor and the Cossack's

With this six models I have a 250 points warband:

- Vlad: 96 points.
- Bride with Fur-lined Coat: 45 points.
- Igor with Brigadine and mysthical powers (Levitate and Clouding men's mind): 44 points
- 3 loyal guards with brigadine: 60 points.

This is my starter band and now I'm thinking to add some wolves and maybe more cossack's for games with higher points. Anyway, this Sunday we'll play a game and depending how it'll going, I'll make some changes.

Day 1: The cossack's and the Bride

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update of my IHMN company. After a long  thinking, I change my mind and i prefer change the cognoscenti for the Vlad company.

Here are the firsts ones:

I know the pic is very bad (mobile) , I'll try to do a better one this weekend with a camera.This group are 2 cossack's and a Bride, both of WestWind Productions, and Igor, the loyal servant, made with the new Frostgrave Barbarians set with a Frostgrave Cultist head.

That's all for now, hope to finish the first 250 points of the band this weekend!

First things first

Hi everyone! 

As the blog tittle says i'm John and i'm a wargamer. I started in the wargames world with the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battlegame by GW. After this I played all GW stuff (Warhammer Fantasy, Warhammer 40k and 30k, Necromunda, Blood Bowl and Mordheim). I accept that my first steps in the wargames world were like a fanboy and never wanted nothing out of GW world but after I took a look to other companies and my world changes. 

With the pass of the years, I started to enjoy that wargames that give you the basics to create what you want so Osprey's and The Ministry of Gentlemanly Warfare were my options. Now i'm playing IHMN and Blood Eagle because of the potential to create what i want to play with the models that i want, and Broken Legions because of his mythlogical taste. 

So, i create this blog for two reasons: 1) Made a record of what i'll paint and what i'll play this year; and 2) As a way to finish my new projects (every week i'll post what i did and account if projects move forward or fall by the wayside.)

And now i'll try to explain which projects and objectives i want to finish this 2017:

1) Finish Two Companies for IHMN: I bought the Prince of Wales Extraordinary Company and i'm Working in a Cognoscenti warband.

2) Finish another Frostgrave warband and a Warriors of Athena warband. I had some barbarians and barbarian wizard and aprentice.

3) Create and made conversions for a Blood Eagle warbands based in the Skyrim series of Bethesda.

4) Create and made conversions for a Blood Eagle warbands based in the First Age of Middle Earth. 

5) Finish my british for Bolt Action.

6) Finish an army for Dragon Rampant and Lion Rampant. I think that made an army of Classical warriors as a base for both games and add some mythological beasts for Dragon Rampant.

And that's all,  I hope you join me in this path and hope that you enjoy it!
